Paul Hilder
Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Canada & U.K.
Paul Hilder has served as Wendy’s Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Canada and U.K. since June 2012. He originally joined Wendy’s in 1996 as a Franchise Area Director and has spent his entire career with the Operations team, including roles as Director of Operations and Division Vice President.
Paul leads all aspects of Operations for Wendy’s Canada and U.K., supporting the growth of franchise partners in both regions. He led Wendy’s expansion into the U.K. in June 2021 – a milestone for the brand.
If you catch Paul in a Wendy’s drive thru, you’ll likely find him ordering a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Chili.
Speaking of the Wendy’s drive thru, Paul says his fondest Wendy’s memory is taking his kids along on customer experience visits when they were young, asking them to rate the quality of their food.
Paul has achieved a number of significant accomplishments during his Wendy’s career, including leading the transition of Wendy’s Canada to a 100 percent franchise-owned market. In 2021, Paul was honored with the Dave Thomas Outstanding Management Award, which recognizes Wendy’s Company employees who have achieved a career of high results, lasting contributions to the brand and embody the values of our founder.
He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Canada.
