Rajeev Sabharwal
Vice President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific Middle East & Africa region
Rajeev Sabharwal has served as Vice President and Managing Director for Wendy’s Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region since November 2018. He joined Wendy’s in 1994 as a restaurant Co-Manager working in Dallas, TX. He grew into General Manager and District Manager roles over the next decade.
During his time with the Company, Rajeev has worked in Operations roles of increasing accountability including Field Training Manager, Franchise Area Director, Director of Area Operations and Division Vice President.
Rajeev’s goal is to grow the Wendy’s brand globally. In this current role, he is responsible for the development, execution and implementation of APMEA growth strategies, as well as fostering the culture and people capabilities to build the brand within the region.
Rajeev values teamwork, communication, transparency and investing in people – leadership qualities which have earned him tremendous success throughout his Wendy’s career.
As Vice President of Wendy’s Columbus Division, his division won Wendy’s DMA of the Year Award in 2015 for its extraordinary growth. With his partnership while Franchise Area Director in California, the Los Angeles DMA earned a DMA of the Year Award in 2006.
While out visiting Wendy’s restaurants, you’ll find Rajeev ordering a Spicy Chicken Sandwich with extra mayo and tomato.
Rajeev holds an Executive M.B.A. from California State University and a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Iowa State University.
